You don’t have to face
life transitions on your own.
What to expect as we get started
1
Introductions
I’ll ask you a few questions during the free consultation call to learn more about you and your current moment. This helps me understand how my skills and experience can best be put to work for you. You’ll have a chance to ask me questions as well. We will get a small sense of what it is like to work together.
2
Assessment and scope
Next, we’ll schedule an assessment to better understand the scope of what you are hoping to accomplish. If this is anchored around a space it will occur on-site, otherwise it will be a longer directed conversation. I’ll produce for you a written assessment, that will include how I am able to support you, and identify anything outside of my scope. You may then take action on your priority items when you are ready.
3
Pick your starting point
When you are ready to get started we will create a service agreement and work together on the project roadmap. In our regular sessions we’ll make progress towards identified goals with adjustments along the way to allow for the unexpected. I’ll keep the pace, and together we make the progress.

FAQs
Are there services beyond those listed?
Certainly! I hope to provide a notion of the types of projects I work on but please do not feel constrained in the least, I encourage you to share your ideas with me. The nature of this work is highly individualized.
Does your work always center on dwellings?
Only about half the time. Projects centered on space are fun because the transformation plays out before your eyes. However, some projects that start as space-focused have threads connected to the client’s hearts and soon they shift to become more personal. I welcome that to–what is space but an extension of ourselves?
The other half of the time clients find me specifically to support them as they navigate a life transition–wayfinding as I call it. Here they may be changing careers or empty-nesting or seeking some other change. I serve as a ballast (with a dash of motivation and pinch of organization) to keep them making progress towards establish goals.
How much does it cost to work with you?
The short answer is that it varies from project to project. The initial phone call is free and one of the topics we will discuss during that call is expense, as I want you to make informed choices as you explore aligndwell.
What ages are your clients?
Truly I work across generations. Recently I have worked with a mother and teenage daughter on a playroom-into-teen hangout redesign in their home. And I also supported a retiree looking to find better use of space in their empty-nester home with a smaller footprint.
Do you work outside of the Finger Lakes?
I do; if the success of our collaboration won’t be diminished if working over Zoom I am happy to connect on that platform. This keeps things very flexible.
On-site work with extensive travel is considered case-by-case.
Are there limits to the length of time I may engage you?
For new clients I have a minimum of one session, established clients may schedule hourly as needed. To support alignment in my own life I regularly assess my availability and with advance notice can accommodate week-long engagements.
