How to maximize space in your under eaves closet
Tricky spaces call for tidy transformations. So often in closets the best thing to do for more space is to go up, but with this under eaves closet, we did the opposite! We moved our clothing rod down, opening up the closet to become a true walk-in closet. Then we added drawers in the middle and cubbies at the end for even more additional storage.
Goldilocks and the jewelry box
I have been wearing the same few pairs of earrings on rotation for a couple of years. But here is the thing…this lovely jewelry box that was so good at holding my jewelry, and keeping it safe from little exploring hands, it isn’t so wonderful at displaying my jewelry. I recognize this moment for what it is–I am in a bit of a life transition and I need my space to grow with me.
Pantry snack hack saves time and keeps it fresh
My only complaint of our pantry is that higher up shelves are too deep, and I have lost many items to those unreachable depths. That was until I stumbled upon a great repurpose of a clear bin that I had previously been using in another closet. It is great. If you want a snack, you check out the bin to see what is open and ready for munchin’.
